Niagara Grocery closed indefinitely; new store to open in June

Last month's issue of the The Beacon reported that Niagara Grocery would be relocating to Imagine Studio Café at 31 Erie Street near Fisherman's Wharf. After publication on May 3, owner Jen McKimmie announced on the company's Facebook page that the grocer would be closing indefinitely. The original building at 579 Niagara St. is currently undergoing renovations, and owners Seamus McKeating and Jennifer Gunter say they plan to open a new store, Niagara Market, sometime in June.
