James Bay Community Project has an initiative in the running for funding under the City of Victoria’s Participatory Budgeting.
It’s a six-week program for young parents (under 21) called ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ that will provide peer support, access to information and childcare while parents attend the sessions.
To vote online for this project to be funded, please go to www.cvyc.ca/pb anytime between now and 11:59 p.m. on July 19.
IN PERSON voting will also be available in the City Hall lobby and at other locations TBC.
Here’s how it works: When community members go to vote, they will be able to choose up to three organizations that they want to vote for. Only one ballot may be submitted per device.
At the end of the voting period, all votes will be counted, and the projects will be ranked, based on votes received. At this time, it's impossible to say how many projects will be funded. The project with the most votes will receive funding, and then we will continue down the list until the money has run out.
So please cast your vote for ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ at www.cvyc.ca/pb or in the lobby at City Hall.
